Lovely class at the Yoga Lounge yesterday evening

I taught lots of lovely strong poses, holding for longer to really create that strength and flexibility. We also did Kapalabhati (skull shining) as part of our Pranayama and they all attempted a Headstand for the inversion and they all did really well. There's a great way to measure out the arms for the headstand so that you get a good strong foundation to go up into headstand. Lots of different stages to stop at as well while building up confidence to go into full headstand. I also showed them a great exercise to strengthen the muscles (abdominals and shoulder/rotator cuff area) in preparation for headstand. We also, as always, focused on our breath, connecting the mind with the breath. The breath leads the movement and the breath and movement are synchronised. Well done everyone!
